School Teacher's Seminar
On 19.10.2023, St. Justin’s College of Education organized School Teacher’s Seminar at Government Higher Secondary School,Puliyungulum, Madurai. The seminar started at 3 p. m in the school campus. Our resource person was Mr. K. Thangavelu, Assistant Professor in Education, Thiagarajar College of preceptors, Madurai. 35school teachers were participated in the seminar. The seminar was inaugurated by our college Principal Rev.Dr. A.Mary Delphine CIC . The welcome address was given by Dr. D.Vani Maheswari, Associate Professor. The Resource person delivered the talk on “Implementation strategies of IOT in Education” which is highly needed one for teachers to teach using AI tools
Seminar for School Students
St. Justin’s college of Education organized a seminar for school students on the topic “IOT and woman Security” .The seminar was conducted at Government Higher Secondary School, Therkkutheru, Melur, Madurai at 13 October 202. The resource person was Dr.N.Sundar Librarian, from Thigaraja college of Preceptors. The seminar started at 10.30 am with prayer song. The programme was inaugurated by the school Headmistress Mrs.Vijaya. 95 Girl students were participated in this seminar. Rev Dr.A.Mary Delphine, Principal of st.Justin’s college of Education had an interaction with the students.
Archaeological Exhibition Visit
The Archaeological survey of India jointly with Thiagarajar Arts and Sciene College, Madurai was celebrated the world Heritage week from 19 th to 25 th November 2023, As part of this celebration, an exhibition with the theme of “ Rock cut Temples in South TamilNadu” was arranged at Madurai. The exhibition was inaugurated by Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt.Nirmala Sitharaman. Our college students were visited the exhibition on 22 nd November at , 2023 Dr.Radha Thiyagarajan Auditorium, Thiyagarajar college, Madurai. The major attraction would be the models on display to show case the rock- cut architecture and also involve the views to have hands-on activities and end up with interactive quiz competition.
Kalaingar Centenary library Visit
In honor of Dr. Kalagnar’s life-long love for books and his contribution towards the Tamil Society throughout the world, as a part of the 100th birth anniversary of Dr. Kalaignar, the Kalaignar Centenary Library is established at Madurai by the Government of Tamil Nadu.The Kalaignar Centenary library, the six-storeyed state-of-the art building to be inaugurated in Madurai on July 15, would house nearly 3.3 lakh books and feature various amenities and services. The second year B.ED students and teaching faculties of St. Justin’s college of Education visited the Library on 30.08.2023 at 2.00 pm. The students first visited the Art Gallery in the ground floor. Then the first floor has the children’s section and the science section. The second floor houses Tamil books, the third floor English books and the fourth floor reference books. The library would house several other amenities, such as multi-purpose hall, children’s theatre with interactive floors, and conference hall with capacity to accommodate 700 persons. Some of the attractive features in the library include virtual reality experience of operating a flight. The fifth floor has the e-library and the sixth floor is an extension of the reference books. The students were utilized this opportunity and refer various books. It serves as a hub for learning, encompassing not only books but also a wide range of information resources, arts, culture, science, and technology.
Gandhi Museum Visit
St. Justin’s college of Education organized a field visit on 17.11.2023. In the morning, the I year student teachers visited the Gandhi Museum. The idea was to acquaint the students with the life and the great works of M.K.Gandji. The instructors shared many insightful stories and facts about his life and the freedom struggle of India.
Book Fair Visit
The Madurai book fair was held at October 12 to 22 at the Madurai Corporation Convention Centre at Tamukkam ground in Tallakulam. Around 200 book stalls were there at the fair. Our college B.Ed. I year students visited the book fair at 19.10.23 at 2.00 pm. Competitions for school and college students such as Elocution was conducted. Various eminent speakers / Writers was addressed the gathering after 6 pm.
Anti-Ragging 2020-2021
Anti-Ragging Cell is functioning under the chairmanship of Principal Rev. Dr. A. Mary Delphine. The Co-coordinator and member carried out several activities like conducting an awareness program regarding Anti-ragging, attending meetings at the collectorate, sent periodical reports to the Regional Joint Director of Collegiate Education. Mobile Phones of the members of Anti Ragging Cell and Help Line for any complaint on Ragging is put up on the notice board for students’ perusal. Students and Teachers were asked to inform if there is any form of ragging on the college campus. No Ragging case has been reported so far. And all the staff members are taking responsibility for making our campus Ragging Free Zone

Patti Thatha Manavar Kuzhu 2020-2021
Senior Citizen Caring Programme was initiated and our students took responsible and promptly send the photos and videos through Google Classroom. Every year we inculcate the values of taking care of old age people in the family and nearby to our student teachers because they are the future architect of our nation. This program was organized by Dr.C.Meenakshi, Coordinator of Thatha Patti MannavarKuzhu.

Patti Thatha Manavar Kuzhu 2019-2020
Justo Patti Thatha MannavarKuzhu (Club) celebrated the internationally important days related to Old age persons and Senior Citizens in the month of August and October every year. All students were registered and they did a one-month care-taking program for their grandparents or senior citizens nearby. They submitted the report. This year International Old Age People’s Day was celebrated on 04.10.2020 at our Justo Auditorium and Mr.Ramprabhu Advocate and Indiram Trust secretary gave a talk on senior citizens and the treasure of our society. Dr. C. Meenakshi, Coordinator of Thatha Patti MannavarKuzhu conducted the program on taking care of old age persons and students took oaths on caring for the senior citizens.
Architecture Visit
Thirumalai Naikar Mahal and Meenakshi Amman Temple Visit
To get the values and importance of architecture, the college First-year student teachers visited Meenakshi Amman Temple and Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal on 28th September 2019. In the morning sessions, Student teachers visited the temple, towers, and the Potramaraikulam. After lunch, the students visited the Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal and the Museum.
Medical Programmes
We organized a Medical Health Checkup for all teaching and non-teaching Staff on 20th September 2019. This was a Primary Health checkup. And further advanced medical scanning had done in Apollo Multi-Specialty Hospital, Madurai. Nine faculty members got benefits from whole body check-ups.
On 28th November 2019, we conducted a Blood donation Camp in our college. A team of doctors and nurses from TamilNadu State Blood Transfusion Council came for the collection of blood. Dr. A. Indra Priya Dharshini and Dr.M. Gokulanathan were leading the blood donation camp. There was a great response from students, Faculties, and other donors. A total of 30 units were collected in the camp. A certificate of appreciation and refreshment was given to donors as a token of gratitude.
Senior Citizen Visit
Regarding to international old age day, our St. Justin’s college students visited the government hospital senior citizen ward at Madurai. On 01.10.2019, the student teachers spent half a day in the forenoon along with the old age people and try to make them feel happy. In the evening the students were taken an oath and promised that to respect and protect the senior people.
Our College student teachers and Faculty members visited the Anandha Illam, an old age home for CIC sisters at K.Pudur, Madurai for Christmas Celebration on 21.12.2019. The First and Second-year student teachers and all Faculties participated. The students were celebrated Christmas in “Anantha Illam”. They performed various programs like mime, Christmas skits, comedy skits, fusion dances, folk dance, and songs. The sisters enjoyed spending time with the students. Although we only spent a few hours with them, they made us realize the value of senior citizens.
Study Visit
The 14th Madurai book fair organized by booksellers and the publishers association of South India (BAPASI) was held at Tamukkam Ground. The fair has 200 stalls with over 50 lakh books. The student teachers and Faculty members went to the book fair on 06.09.2019 at 2.30 pm and utilize the chance.

Social Welfare
On 01.02.2020, Madurai Corporation and Radio Mirchi jointly organized the massive cleanup drive along the vaigai named “Namma Madurai”. Our college student teachers also voluntarily took part in the drive. Minister for Corporation Sellur K. Raju inaugurated the cleaning drive. Addressing the participants, corporation Commissioner S.Visakan said that the aim of the drive is to create awareness among residents of the preservation of the Vaigai. He said that there is an urgent need to preserve the vaigai. After the addressing, the student teachers distributed the pamphlet around the residential areas to create awareness about clean Madurai.
